In this week's lab meeting, we discussed Legare's (2014) paper, "The Contributions of Explanation and Exploration to Children’s Scientific Reasoning". This paper is a review of the current research which explores how children use exploration learn new ideas and how they use explanation to make sense of these ideas. The paper looks at the way exploration and explanation contribute to the development of scientific reasoning.
