June 18, 2021: "The Double-Edged Sword of Pedagogy: Instruction Limits Spontaneous Exploration..."

In this week's lab meeting, we discussed Bonawitz, Shafto, Gweon, Goodman, Spelke and Schulz's (2011) paper, "The Double-Edged Sword of Pedagogy: Instruction Limits Spontaneous Exploration and Discovery." The researchers looked at how the method of teaching affects kids' exploration and discovery rate.
