Dr. Ronfard attended the Cognitive Development Society Meeting in Louisville, Kentucky this past weekend.
As part of this symposium on "How parent authoritarianism and cultural upbringing shape children’s learning and proto-political cognition", Dr. Ronfard talked about how American and Chinese children growing up in more authoritarian homes are less likely to empirically verify a counter-intuitive claim (to test what they are told).
Dr. Ronfard was also a discussant for a symposium on "Young children’s scientific theory building and knowledge acquisition."
