Today we began testing our second online study! This study is conducted over zoom and involves showing children videos and pictures, then asking questions about them. Specifically, we are showing children a story of someone, then asking them trait related questions. After, the same person is shown looking into different colored cups and saying where a sticker is hidden. Children are then asked which color cup they think the sticker is hidden in. This study investigates children’s interaction with and epistemic trust on the person based on trait information, if provided through a story. This study was a follow up to a previous study focused on testing adults. Stay tuned for more information!
